Finding a manly hobby is easier said than done. If you have a fast paced work life, having a hobby is the perfect way to reduce stress and spend time enjoying yourself. Here are three unique hobbies for men.

Build Model Rockets

There aren't many men who aren't attracted to stuff shooting and blowing up. Even if you don't have any experience building rockets you can get started with basic learner kits. As you get better, you can learn concepts like rocket fuel, design, guided missiles, and physics.

As fun as rockets can be, you should always be careful when dealing with missiles. Get a kit that includes ready-to-build rockets and a pre-built launch pad. If you are feeling ambitious, try to build a missile from scratch. Just make sure to warn your neighbors.

Currency Collecting

Collecting rare coins is not only tons of fun, it can also make you a bit of money.  Collecting coins will help you to understand the history and logistics behind the economic structure of a country. The older the coin, the more valuable it will be.

Foreign money is beautiful to display, so if you collect enough you can have a showcase with all the money you have gathered. Many countries use high quality paper and bright colors, making them a pleasure to look at.

Motorcycle Rebuilding

The only thing more enjoyable than driving a motorcycle is the knowledge that you've built it yourself. You can buy old motorcycles at extremely cheap prices and rebuild them for only a couple thousand dollars. Thanks to the internet, even novice mechanics can quickly learn the inner construction of a motorcycle.

Four Adventurous Hobbies Every Man Should Try

For many the idea of having a hobby is something rare, or old fashioned. Rather than spend a lot of time testing out a new skill, many today opt instead to hang out on the couch and entertain themselves in a more sedentary way. But hobbies offer more to the mind than just entertainment; they can help you to feel relaxed and involved. Hobbies have a way of sharpening your mind, helping your skills of observation, and bringing excitement into your life. If you’ve been feeling like there’s something missing from your life, maybe it’s time to pick up a new pastime to stimulate your adventurous side.

1. Camping

There is something to be said about setting up camp, fishing for your dinner, tending to a fire and sleeping under the stars. In many states, there are an abundance of parks and campsites for you to get out and enjoy, so the view will never get boring no matter how often you camp. Camping is also a gateway to other great hobbies such as hunting and trapping, fishing or hiking. If you aren't a camper, consider heading to the woods for just one night or taking part in a survival class, where you'll be with other people and an instructor who will teach you about surviving in the wild.

2. Sports

Exercise is important for healthy and strong bodies, and it becomes especially important as we age. Men should have at least one physical, preferably competitive hobby. Physical activity is responsible for a myriad of benefits, like stress reduction, a boost in testosterone, and an outlet for your competitive nature. Whether in a gym or on a team, getting your body moving is an excellent way to bring a positive change into your daily routine, rather than just sitting at home and watching sports on TV. You can even get involved with a community league to it becomes a weekly activity and there's a sense of competition.

3. Martial Arts or Fencing

Along the same lines as most sports, these combative arts harness your need to be competitive, while getting your blood flowing. They work many areas of the brain because they require foresight and critical thinking to make a sound strategy of attack. Martial arts are a spectacular hobby you can take up at any time in your life. Some community centers even offer classes for free from time to time.

4. Motorsports

Taking up a new hobby of motorcycling or motocross can be just the thing to breathe life into your boring routine, and you can do it without a lot of extra time in a day. Consider changing your commuter vehicle into a motorcycle to save on gas, and commute time. Riding a motorcycle can boost your adrenaline on the way to work, and therefore positively influence the effort you’re extending on any given day. You can also create a hobby of restoring old vehicles and motorcycles, and that’s something that requires dedication and focus from you mentally.

When you are choosing a motorbike to buy, you are faced with a decision that is based on all sorts of practicalities. You must consider the bike's construction, your build, your budget, day to day use, comfort, reliability and all manner of boring realities. However, when you are choosing a list of the 5 coolest motorbikes ever, you can let your inhibitions go and pick purely on sentiment, attitude, looks and lust. Based on these whimsical criteria, here is a list of the 5 coolest motorbikes ever to have graced the planet.

Triumph TR6 Trophy
Steve McQueen immortalized the Triumph TR6 in The Great Escape, ensuring it was destined to feature on every 'Motorbike Top 5' list for the rest of history. McQueen himself was an avid bike fan, who was indeed inducted into the Motorbike Hall of Fame. Sure, he may not have escaped the Germans during his high speed chase, the bike was disguised as a BMW during the film, and he did end up tangled in barb wire, but the Triumph TR6 made him look cool whilst he made arguably one of the most iconic motorbike jumps in cinematic history. Thanks to its Four-stroke Parallel-twin engine and gritty sex appeal, the 650cc TR6 Trophy will forever be one of the coolest motorbikes ever.

Captain America a.k.a Easy Rider
The iconic film Easy Rider brought choppers to a whole new generation. Epitomizing coolness and freedom, Peter Fonda's stars and stripes Captain America led the way for petrol head enthusiasts to turn their hand to customizations and the trend for choppers was born. The chopper in the film was a Harley Davidson, comprised of four ex police Panheads. Two 1951 models, a 1950 and a 1951 were used and customized to make the bikes that featured in the movie.

1991 Harley Davidson Fatboy
From what has to be one of the coolest films of all time, comes one of the coolest looking motorbikes. The 1991 Harley Davidson Fatboy featured in Terminator 2, and was ridden by a leather jacket clad Arnold Schwarzenegger as the movie protagonist, the T-800 Terminator. The big budget film needed a bike that really looked the part and the 1991 Harley Davidson Fatboy was that motorbike. Following the famous “I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle” quote, Arnie drove off on the 1991 Harley Davidson Fatboy to the soundtrack of 'Bad to the Bone'. The motorbike chase scene is one of the most watched of all time, and never has a cyborg, or motorbike, looked cooler. And Harley Davidson, based on Oxford Business Park, are popularly considered one of the coolest motorbike companies around.

Kawaski GPZ 900R
There are few bikes as memorable as the Kawaski GPZ 900R (or GPZ 750R in Europe), which featured heavily in the 1980s Hollywood blockbuster, Top Gun. Scenes of Tom Cruise zipping from one source of drama to the next on his GPZ 900R were eclipsed only by those featuring his F-14 Tomcat. Although not equipped with missiles, the GPZ 900R, with its 4-stroke, 4-cylinder 908 cc engine and top speed of 158mph, was about as cool as bikes could be in 80s and 90s.

Honda RC30
You cannot have a list of coolest motorbikes, without including a superbike. The RC30, also known as the Honda VFR750R, won the World Superbike Championship two years in a row. Released in 1990, the RC30 has a 748 cc V4 engine, 5-speed transmission and swingarm rear suspension. The Honda RC30 can also be credited with paving the way for the Honda RC51, which took Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden to victory in the World Superbike and AMA Superbike Championships.
