Welcome to the June 11, 2009 edition of Brutusreport Blogspot Sports Carnival. Eric Gargiulo starts the blog carnival this week with a number of good articles including one of Mariano Rivera and his ability to be consistent even with less than perfect management. In football we have a story from the Brutusreport.com about Jim Tressel visiting troops in the Middle East on a tour with a number of college coaches. Finally Spencer Honeyman writes about hockey great Milan Lucic and his impact on the sport.

Eric Gargiulo
presents Randy Orton Flips Out on Mexican Television posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Check out this video of WWE champion Randy Orton being interviewed on Mexican television. presents The Betting Edge for Friday June 08 posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "My big bet of the day will be the San Diego Padres beating Arizona Diamondbacks and parlaying it with under 7 1/2 runs. Jake Peavy's back after his awful outing against the Philadelphia Phillies and considering how hard it is to score runs in San Diego I'm betting $15 to win $30."

Baseball

Eric Gargiulo presents The Betting Edge for Tuesday June 09 posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "I'm a Phillies fan and with Johan Santana throwing tonight for the Mets in New York (if they get the game in) the money line gets busted easily so with an upset I like the Phillies as underdogs winning the game outright since I can lay $5 to win $7.50."

Eric Gargiulo
presents Mariano Rivera stands the test of time, and questionable Managerial Decisions posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Can we get a hold of ourselves here? Everyone just sit back and relax for a minute. The Sandman isn’t going anywhere yet. No, not our favorite drunken wrestler who launches chairs at partygoers in Yonkers, NY. I mean arguably the greatest closer of all time, Mariano Rivera."

Football

Steve Patterson presents Jim Tressel Visits US Troops with Other College Coaches posted at BrutusReport, saying, "Jim Tressel and Mack Brown in addition to other college football coaches took part in a Middle East tour to inspire and provide entertainment for the US troops."

Hockey

The last change of the night was the most shocking. CM Punk won his second WWE world title after cashing in his Money in the Bank and beating Jeff Hardy."

Eric Gargiulo
presents Batista Injured Again At WWE Extreme Rules posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The most brittle wrestler in the WWE is once again on injured reserve. It is being reported that Batista tore his triceps at WWE Extreme Rules. The injury comes just two months after Batista returned to WWE action from his last of many injuries."

Eric Gargiulo
presents Inside The Wheelhouse for June 10th, 2009: A main event waiting to happen posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "John Morrison clearly has the in-ring abilities to give you a “big time” and even “show stopping” match time in and time out. As he further improves on the “stick” and begins to gain more confidence and charisma he will begin to reach the “Main Event” status he is being groomed to be. Hopefully he will be able to fill the shoes of an "icon.""

Eric Gargiulo
presents Diary of a Pro Wrestling Mad Man posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "This may be one of the craziest videos you will ever see. The video highlights excerpts of a recent interview with former WWE and WCW wrestler, Billy Jack Haynes. Quite frankly, the guy is nuts. Haynes lets loose with a world of conspiracy theories and accusations towards Vince McMahon and other wrestlers that will make you cringe."
