Welcome to the September 24, 2009 edition of Brutusreport Blogspot Sports Carnival. Welcome to this weeks carnival edition. Eric Gargiulo presents a couple good stories this week including Week 2 of the NFL season and Juan Manuel Marquez vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. Thanks for stopping in and hope you enjoy the articles.

Bryan Vinson presents Sunday Colored Splinters! posted at splinters, saying, "Splinters is a sports related newspaper style sports comics strip and blog. Splinters features three kids who are perpetual bench warmers for their schools sports teams. Each strip is accompanied by a sports related blog."

Football

Eric Gargiulo presents Sharks? Flash and Crash - Fantasy Start ?em or Sit ?em Week 2 posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Ok so how many of us started Buffalo RB Fred Jackson in week 1? How many people thought it was sensable to sit Chris Johnson? Well no matter what you thought last week it means nothing at this moment, because in fantasy football you are only as good as your current week."

Eric Gargiulo presents NFL 2009 Season Week 2 Preview and Predictions posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Philadelphia Eagles fans will get their first look at Kevin Kolb’s first full NFL game. Kolb was the first player drafted three NFL drafts ago by the Eagles. He was taken with the intentions of replacing Donovan McNabb oh say around now. Unfortunately for the Eagles, Kolb has only real action twice in the NFL regular season and he has been far from spectacular in those outings. This week he starts against the Saints."

Eric Gargiulo presents Herschel Walker Signs MMA Deal With Strikeforce posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "From the NFL Pro Bowl to reality TV star to MMA fighter. Former NFL football star and Heisman Trophy winner, Herschel Walker has signed an MMA deal with UFC competitor, Strikeforce. The 47-yaer old Walker is expected to begin competing in 2010. No word yet on which of Hershel’s personalities will be the one actually competing."

Eric Gargiulo presents Fantasy Football Week 2 - To Trade or Not To Trade posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "After months of meticulous preparation, you felt great about your fantasy football draft. Week 1 was a bit of a letdown but you knew you had a great team. Now, it is the day after NFL Week 2 and you are beginning to panic. Do you start working a trade or do you stick with your players? Unfortunately for some of you fantasy football players, it is time to start working the phones."

Eric Gargiulo presents Inside The Wheelhouse - The Sweet Nasty’s NFC Season Preview posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "I love the New Orleans Saints. Drew Brees is capable of another 5,000 yard season. A healthy Reggie Bush, with Pierre Woods doing the heavy lifting! Three years ago, they gave us a little taste. But now it's time for a second helpin' of jambalaya!"

Other

Eric Gargiulo presents Juan Manuel Marquez Is No Tune Up For Floyd Mayweather Jr. posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "After a lengthy layoff and a WWE WrestleMania win, Floyd Mayweather Jr. returns to boxing. Juan Manuel Márquez moves up to welterweight to fight Mayweather after winning a few lightweight championships. Fans could see one of the biggest upsets in boxing this Saturday night."
