Eric Gargiulo presents Who is the beast of the NL East? ? Part 1 posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Philadelphia Phillies - The back-to-back National League Champions are only better than they were last season when they went to the World Series. Their offense focused around extreme power has seen few speed bumps in their road to the playoffs and they finally have the front line pitcher to keep them ahead in the race."

Eric Gargiulo presents Who is the beast of the NL East? ? Part 1 posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The Florida Marlins are the sad kid in school that everyone feels sorry for. They have so much potential but no one there to look out for them. This team has practically no money in the bank, and anyone who is anyone in a Marlins uniform doesn’t need to waste his time unpacking in Miami, as they will be traded for cheaper options. This is a key reason that no fans show to games, keeping the team further in debt."

Basketball

Eric Gargiulo presents College Basketball Odds ? Hurricanes look to blow away Hokies posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Miami Hurricanes vs Virginia Tech Hokies odds – Friday, March 12, 2:00 PM ET. Freshman Reggie Johnson had the game of his life as the Hurricanes pasted Wake Forest 83-62 on Thursday, hitting all eight of his field-goal attempts, and he went 6-of-6 at the foul line for a season-high 22 points. James Dews added 15 points for the Hurricanes, who shot 51.7% from the floor while holding the Demon Deacons to 35.1%, including 4-of-17 from beyond the arc."

Eric Gargiulo presents Bracket Racket: Talking The NCAA Tournament posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "It is NCAA March Madness time again. Attention all bosses or managers etc., let's not give Bill from accounting a hard time today, he has brackets to fill out, like just about every other red-blooded American does this time of year."

Eric Gargiulo presents NCAA Tournament First Round Odds and Picks posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Butler ran the table in the Horizon League going 18-0 and wasn’t really challenged along the way. Led by G/F Gordon Hayward (15.4 points, 8.5 rebounds), F Matt Howard (12.3 points, 5.4 rebounds) and G Shelvin Mack (13.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists) the Bulldogs are a small team and don’t have a true center. Butler’s veteran presence and extreme ball movement skills will be up against a physical bunch in the University of Texas El-Paso Miners."

Eric Gargiulo presents March Madness Betting – Battle of The Tigers posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Missouri Tigers vs Clemson Tigers odds – Friday, March 19, 2:45 PM ET. The Tigers, a tenth seed in the East region, stumbled down the Big 12 stretch, losing three of their last four, and their lone win came in overtime at lowly Iowa State. Mizzou is a run-and-gun team that shoots three-pointers at a 37.1% clip, and the main gunners are Kim English and Marcus Denmon."

AndrosenDsouza presents 50 Unbelievable Sports Clips on YouTube Worth Watching posted at Sports Management Degree, saying, "If you have a little extra time on your hands, you might want to watch some sports bloopers, amazing extreme sports and some of the best football tackles of all time. No need to spend time searching, though, as we’ve already compiled a list of 50 unbelievable sports clips from YouTube."

Eric Gargiulo presents NBA Betting Lines- Orlando Magic vs. Atlanta Hawks posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The Orlando Magic are playing some of their best basketball of the season down the stretch, winning three straight and nine of their last ten games to pull away from both the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern conference."

Indeed, some sports agents encourage blogging and social media use by professional athletes as a way to further promote the “brand.”"

Eric Gargiulo presents Craigslist Cleveland Browns Style? From Bad To Worse posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Usually when something starts to turn, “brown” it means it is going stale. Most fruits and vegetables tend to get that way when they are about to expire. Apparently when football goes bad it also turns “brown” as in the Cleveland Browns. Can you just imagine this Craigslist ad in Cleveland, Ohio under Free Stuff: “Free stuff not needed, first come first serve. We need to unload all Quarterbacks, Half-Backs, Wide Receivers, Line-backers etc. Everything must go by April 22nd. Will also accept your unwanted draft picks. For details contact Mike H@ClevelandBrowns.com”."

Morgan Schwartz presents Beef It Up! posted at Omaha.net - Local Writing from the Heartland, saying, "thanks!"

Hockey

Eric Gargiulo presents Philadelphia Flyers Woes Continue posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Since the Olympic break, the Philadelphia Flyers have been 4-1-1. Before the break the Flyers were in the 8 games prior were 6-2. Those numbers are misleading by many standards. The Flyers were maybe the hottest team in the NHL prior to the break."

Eric Gargiulo presents NHL Betting Preview: Montreal Canadiens vs. New York Rangers posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The Montreal Canadiens and the New York Rangers are two teams in search of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The sports betting world remembers these two teams at the beginning of the season when both were having a difficult time winning games. With all of the March Madness odds going on, the fact that both teams are now looking towards the playoffs can sometimes be lost. The sportsbook reviews for this upcoming Canadiens at Rangers game are much different than they were at the beginning of the season."

Eric Gargiulo presents Injury Bug Plagues Philadelphia Flyers posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Philadelphia Flyers lost Michael Leighton late in the first period of Wednesday March 16, 2010 game against Nashville Predators. Leighton was making a save and fell backwards onto his leg. Leighton later said he heard a “pop” noise while falling. A pop noise is never good in an injury. This could possibly be ligaments or tendons, which take weeks to heal."

Eric Gargiulo presents No Fire Power Flyers posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "On Sunday night the Philadelphia Flyers squared off against the Atlanta Thrashers. After taking a beating in Atlanta the night before, the Flyers knew they needed to come firing the puck. Before the game Flyer's Coach Peter Laviolette addressed this by changing his lines."

Eric Gargiulo presents NHL Game Preview: Penguins vs. Capitals posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "While sports betting experts debate the newest March madness odds, the NHL races towards the playoffs with the lower-tiered teams fighting for their playoff lives. At the top of the heap are many of the same teams that were top contenders last year. At the very top of the price per head odds for winning the Stanley Cup are the Washington Capitals and the defending champion Pittsburgh Penguins."

Eric Gargiulo presents Injury Bug Bites Philadelphia Flyers Again posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "During the Philadelphia Flyers vs. Atlanta Thrashers game on March 21, 2010 Jeff Carter was blocking a shot and took a puck to the side of his left foot. Carter stated, "It was a harmless play, kind of took one off the side. I went home last night and it started getting worse and worse."

Other

Eric Gargiulo presents Rumor: Rich Franklin In, Tito Ortiz Out of TUF 11 posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "News broke over the last few days that Rich Franklin replaced Tito Ortiz during the tapings of The Ultimate Fighter season 11. Further news indicates that Chuck Liddell vs. Rich Franklin is all but set for UFC 115 with the future of Tito Ortiz in serious doubt."

Eric Gargiulo presents Dana White Was Right About Fedor Emelianenko posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "I have been fairly critical of UFC president Dana White over the last year. My criticism was at an all-time high when negotiations between the UFC and Fedor Emelianenko broke down last year. However, seven moths later and it looks like Dana White was correct all along about Fedor, M-1, and those “crazy Russians.”"

Eric Gargiulo presents UFC on Versus: Preview and Predictions posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "This Sunday the UFC debuts on a network other than Spike TV: Versus (congratulations to any DirecTV subscribers reading). This will be the first of two shows on the cable-owned sports network and could help send more eyeballs to sibling WEC’s shows in the future. I’ve already had my first shot of Jameson (Happy St Patrick’s Day everyone, btw) so let’s get to the main card:"

James O'Connor presents Converse Trainers - Information & Review posted at UK Designer Fashion Blog - Designer Clothing Info - Men's & Women's Brands, saying, "Information about Converse trainers, one of the leading brands of mens and womens trainers worldwide."

Brutusreport Blogspot Sports Carnival - March 11, 2010

Welcome to the March 11, 2010 edition of Brutusreport Blogspot Sports Carnival. We have some great stories once again from many of the popular writers and some new ones. Eric Gargiulo starts off with some NFL free agent articles including one on the most memorable Eagles trades. Eric also looks at two running backs that might get another chance but might be done, LaDainian Tomlinson and Brian Westbrook. Steve Patterson has an article on Ohio State rapping up their Basketball season on top of the Big Ten and wants to know if the NHL can capitalize on the success of the Olympic Hockey gold matches. Finally, Harold Gelien has 50 athletes you can follow on Twitter. Sounds like a lot of fun seeing what these great athletes are doing on a daily basis. Make sure to bookmark, share, and come back in 14 days for another edition.

Eric Gargiulo presents Looking Back At Ten Philadelphia Eagles Memorable Trades posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The Philadelphia Eagles have had some major success throughout the history of the franchise when it comes to trades. Some of the biggest names in Eagles history have donned the green as a result of a simple telephone transaction. Yet, not all trades have ended up in the Eagles' favor. It’s fair to say that when they get it right, they get it right, and when they screw it up, they really screw it up."

MarshallChiropractic.com presents Sports Injuries and Chiropractic Treatment posted at Marshall Chiropractic.

Basketball

Eric Gargiulo presents NBA Preview ? Grizzlies vs. Hornets Matchups posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "This Wednesday, two teams that are fighting an uphill battle for the final playoff spot in the NBA Western Conference will square-off on Bourbon Street where the New Orleans Hornets play host to the Memphis Grizzlies."

Eric Gargiulo presents College Basketball Betting – Orangemen look to stay No.1 posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Syracuse Orangemen vs Louisville Cardinals odds – The No.1 Orangemen (28-2, 15-2) have won four straight since losing at home to Louisville, and their 85-66 romp at St. John’s was their third straight win by double digits. Arinze Onuaku led an attack of five Syracuse players in double figures."

Steve Patterson presents Ohio State Men’s Basketball Win a Share of the Big Ten Title posted at BrutusReport, saying, "The Buckeyes return to the top of the Big Ten with a #1 seed in the upcoming tournament and a share, at least, of the conference title."

Eric Gargiulo presents NBA Betting ? Grizzlies vs. Celtics Preview posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The Memphis Grizzlies had such a bright start to the 2009 season but they have been skating downhill ever since. They were five games over .500 on February 1st and were competing for a playoff spot in the Western Conference playoff race."

Football

Eric Gargiulo presents L.T. & B’West: Deadly Combo or Duds In The Water? posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Is it football season already?! Less than a month after The New Orleans Saints pulled off the impossible in lifting the Lombardi, both LaDanian Tomlinson and Brian Westbrook are looking for new homes. Both have lead amazing careers in the NFL. Both have tasted playoff victories, with Westbrook going to the Super Bowl with the Eagles. One more thing in common? They both have had injuries that have kept them off the field. A team that is struggling right now is considering this a miracle. Is it the answer a team like the Lions or Redskins are looking for? Or are both number 21 and 36 a little too late to be a threat?"

Eric Gargiulo presents Love Me Tender – NFL Free Agency Begins posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Football fans who feel sad about the fact the season has ended, this is for you. Yes no sooner did the Saints and Colts walk off the Super Bowl field did the football buzz come right back around with scouting combines, rumors, lockouts, salary caps and of course the biggie (with no disrespect to draft day) NFL Free Agency!"

Eric Gargiulo presents An Early Look At NFL Free Agency posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "We are just days into NFL free agency and the frenzy continues throughout the league. Within a matter of hours the NFL’s hottest free agent was signed, while other teams look to sit pat in something of a holding mode. It may only be March but a series of moves may have changed the balance of power between some NFL pretenders and contenders coming into what could be the last season before an NFL lock out."

Harold Gelien presents Top 50 Pro Athletes on Twitter Worth Following posted at sports management, saying, "The top 50 pro athletes listed were based upon their Twitter popularity, but the number of the most popular sports is limited to ten, and baseball and tennis are combined for a total of five Twitter users in those two sports."

Eric Gargiulo presents Waahhh! Derek Anderson Is Mad! posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "I've witnessed Michael Irvin get a standing ovation for getting injured in Philadelphia and I've also seen Donovan McNabb get benched for having a horrible game but bounce back and win another. These guys never said one ill word towards the fans, but Mr. Derek Anderson has."

Hockey

Eric Gargiulo presents Canada Wins Olympic Gold; Gets Revenge on Team USA posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Team Canada knew deep down the moment they lost to USA earlier in the tournament that they would meet them again in the Finals for the Gold. With that in mind, they knew they had to play a solid game, and not make the same mistakes the USA had been making during the tournament. Boy did they deliver. Canada came out in the Gold Medal game ready to play and immediately brought it to Team USA as they did in the previous game they lost to USA. USA did not show up to play in the first period."

Eric Gargiulo presents NHL Betting ? Tuesday Game Previews posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The Chicago Blackhawks are one of the best teams in the Western Conference and while one of their key stars, Patrick Kane, is sour from missing out on a gold medal in the Winter Olympics, he’ll still have a chance at another prize if his team keeps it up in the NHL."

Neven Szary presents Crosby vs. Ovechkin ? Case Closed posted at Eastern Invasion, saying, "Sidney Crosby vs. Alexander Ovechkin. The debate rages on."

Harold Gelien presents 25 Fun Video Games for Health and Fitness Nuts posted at BSN to MSN, saying, "If you doubt the veracity of video games for health, fitness and even for pain management, you might think again when you realize the fun you can have while working towards better overall well being."

Words2Words presents Empathy: My Take on Tiger posted at What If - Editorials and opinions covering popular culture., saying, "Tiger Woods screwed up. He's paying for it, and will continue to pay for it. So, why is it that people need to condemn him even more and wish the worst possible fate upon the guy? Can't we give it a rest?"

Natalie Thomas presents 100 Excellent, Inspiring Career Coaches on Twitter posted at Online Degree, saying, "For recent college graduates, the job search once a degree has been conferred stands almost as stressful as higher education itself. UFC

Eric Gargiulo presents UFC Fighter Frank Mir Gets It posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The MMA world has been buzzing for a week following comments made by UFC fighter Frank Mir. Mir’s comments specifically about wishing death upon current UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar have set off a fire storm. The UFC and MMA community responded with outrage and some in disappointment with Mir’s tone. However at the end of the day Frank Mir proves once again why he drew the biggest buyrate in UFC history and is one of the few that truly gets the show."

Brutusreport Blogspot Sports Carnival - February 25, 2010

Welcome to the February 25, 2010 edition of Brutusreport Blogspot Sports Carnival. This time around we have some 15 or so really good articles and one very bad one. Steve Patterson starts us off with OSU Buckeyes in the NFL Combine which just opened up today. Tim Tebow won't throw so we can all breath easy. Steve also has a story on Adam Griffin the son of Buckeye great Archie Griffin who was given a scholarship after the team missed out on 5 top 100 players at the end of the recruiting process. Josh tries to convince us that Lane Kiffin will not fail although that is all he has ever done. And finally Neven Szary believes in Team Canada even after the US socked them in the groin in front of a packed home ice. That ends my sarcastic take on this weeks articles. Come back next time when I will be serious about sports and the writers that write about them. Bookmark and Share if you have nothing else to do with the rest of the night.

Lisa Taylor presents 10 Youngest College Graduates in U.S. History (and Where They Are Today) posted at Online Degree.

Baseball

Eric Gargiulo presents Will Work For Food And Millions! Baseballs Remaining Free Agents posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "RF Jermaine Dye: 2009, White Sox, .251 average, 27 home runs, 81 R.B.I. 36 years old Dye showed he still has some pop left in his bat, and can prove to be a good bat off the bench or play in a platoon situation. However, he still is seeking big money and a chance to play every day. At 36 his fielding skills are diminished, and he lacks speed. Still the best of the available free agents as far as power. A team in need of a DH could tap Dye by the end of spring."

Basketball

Eric Gargiulo presents College Basketball Betting ? Calipari, Pearl renew hostilities in Lexington posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Anyone who follows sportsbook odds (betphoenix reviews) has had this Saturday circled on the calendar for a long time. Football

Eric Gargiulo presents Inside The Wheelhouse: Are we writing off Peyton Manning? posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Moments after the Super Bowl, I tuned into the great four letter network located in Connecticut. The network had a good NFL analyst on who at one time (I can’t believe I’m going to write this) lead his team to a Super Bowl Championship. His name is Trent Dilfer. The story he brought up that the media would run with the next day on the Indianapolis Colts is something weeks prior we would never even consider. He asked: “Could Peyton Manning win the big one again?”"

Steve Patterson presents Ohio State Buckeyes at The NFL Combine posted at BrutusReport, saying, "Thaddeus Gibson is one of the standouts that is expected to be drafted in the first round."

Steve Patterson presents Adam Griffin Gets Late Ohio State Offer posted at eScoutRoom, saying, "He is reportedly quite excited to be on scholarship with OSU this coming fall."

Hockey

Eric Gargiulo presents USA Men?s Hockey Over Comes Late Run posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "USA defeated Switzerland in the first game of the Olympics for both Men’s teams by a score of 3-1. Switzerland came out hitting fast and furious in the beginning of the game, which to an extent really slowed down the speedy Team USA. USA had no answer for the onslaught of hard hits by Switzerland, but would slowly turn it around by the middle stages of the first period. With just over a minute remaining in the first period, Bobby Ryan scored on Anaheim teammate Jonas Hiller. David Backes would later score a beautiful goal in the 2nd period, followed by Ryan Malone. Team USA showed up in the 2nd period, but the 3rd period was another story once again."

Baseball

Eric Gargiulo presents Inside The Wheelhouse: Understanding the Randy Winn deal posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "I have given myself a good twenty four hours to digest the New York Yankees recent signing of Randy Winn. I like many Yankees fan are happy they have finally filled their hole in left field, but I like many Yankees fans, scratch that, like most Baseball fans are wondering the same thing. Randy Winn is your answer for left field?"

Basketball

Eric Gargiulo presents NBA Betting – Celtics vs. Heat Preview posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "While most of the buzz this week has been about the Super Bowl line and NFL predictions, the NBA is in mid-season form as the all-star break and the trade deadline are fast approaching. This Wednesday features a matchup of between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat."

Eric Gargiulo presents Marching Into February For College Hoops posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The calendar may read February, but it is already beginning to feel like March Madness in the NCAA. Some big time upsets and big time games over the last week are making this a fun month leading up to the 64 team field announcement. Fresh faces, bubble teams, top 25 upsets and much more are making it interesting here in the NCAA."

Eric Gargiulo presents NBA Betting – Celtics vs. Hornets Preview posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The Boston Celtics are supposed to be one of the elite teams in the NBA but recently, there have been some fractures in the armor. The Boston Celtics have been struggling lately, splitting their last 10 games with five wins and five losses."

Football

Eric Gargiulo presents Pro Bowl Betting – Pro Bowl still worth watching posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Super Bowl betting is on the minds of many in the online betting industry right now, but the NFL is trying to drum up interest in the Pro Bowl by moving it from Hawaii to Miami, the site of the Super Bowl, and a week before the big game. There are a number of injuries to both rosters, but here are four players to keep an eye on this Sunday."

FavreDollarFootlongs presents Do Players Have to Love the Game? posted at Favre Dollar Footlongs.

Eric Gargiulo presents Inside The Wheelhouse: Tim Tebow’s near death experience posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Okay so before I get to the whole Tim Tebow's mom's Super Bowl Commercial thing I've just have to know. The Olympic figure skater John Weir, the one in trouble because his outfit may have featured real fur, is he the guy that played the homosexual in Wedding Crashers that sodomized Vince Vaughn?"

Eric Gargiulo presents A Look At The 10 Best NFL Super Bowls posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Super Bowl XXXIX, February 6th, 2005, Alltel Stadium Jacksonville, Florida – New England Patriots 24, Philadelphia Eagles 21 - After three straight spoiled attempts in NFC Championship games, Andy Reid finally got his team to the big game where they would face the defending champs from New England. Despite striking first the Eagles could not contain Tom Brady and game MVP Deion Branch enough to pull a win out. The Pats defense collected 4 Eagles turnovers, and spoiled the return of Terrell Owens, who came back from an ankle injury to collect 9 catches for 122 yards. Donovan McNabb did manage 357 yards and 3 TD’s for the Eagles, but will more be remembered for an alleged “vomiting” incident during the 4th quarter. Brady finished with 236 yards and 2 TDs, and Branch had 11 catches for 133 yards. The Eagles managed to score with 3 minutes left, then stopped the Pats on the next series, but could only muster 3 plays after that from their own 4 yard line."

Eric Gargiulo presents Inside The Wheelhouse: So long Kurt Who posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Kurt Warner, age 38, is calling it quits. In addition to being a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH, he was also the rarest of rare things in this age of all encompassing media: Kurt was a guy who TRULY took a professional sports league by storm. Kurt didn’t play his high school ball on ESPN; he didn’t come to the league with a 100 million dollar endorsement deal in tow. Not only was Kurt not drafted but he wasn’t even invited to the combine!"

Steve Patterson presents Drew Basil, Jumping into the Rotation this Spring posted at BrutusReport, saying, "Basil also liked the fan support and what he saw around the OSU campus when he was visiting."

Steve Patterson presents Scott McVey, Coach Tressel Was The Biggest Difference posted at eScoutRoom, saying, "McVey wanted a level of comfort with the football program."

And there are several myths associated with this big playoff that were just bunch of exaggerations. Nothing real and full of misconceptions."

Eric Gargiulo presents Super Bowl XLIV Preview and Prediction posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "For one week of the year, sports fans that live and die every week with the NFL come together with those that haven’t watched a snap of football since last year. Whether you are watching due to Super Bowl betting, bonding with your significant other, looking for a good party, or actually care about the game, chances are good you will be watching Super Bowl XLIV. For fans of the game like myself, I couldn’t be anymore excited about the possibilities of this year’s matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints."

Madeleine Begun Kane presents Super Bowl Sunday Blues posted at Mad Kane's Humor Blog.

hall monitor presents Student sent home from school for wearing Colts jersey posted at DetentionSlip.org, saying, "No Colts fans allowed in Louisiana!"

Neven Szary presents The Media Predicts The Game posted at Eastern Invasion, saying, "How the media correctly picks the winners of the biggest football games."

Eric Gargiulo presents McNabb Thinks Vick Deserves To Start – Shocking! posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "It was nice to see Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb keeping himself busy during Super Bowl week. McNabb took time away from talking about his own contractual status to talk about fellow Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick. Donovan McNabb said in an ESPN interview that he feels Michael Vick deserves a chance to be a starter. I cannot believe that McNabb would even dream of wanting Vick to play on another team next season. Shocking isn’t it?"

Eric Gargiulo presents Very Early Super Bowl XLV Odds posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The confetti is still on the ground in Miami from the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl XLIV win, yet the Vegas oddsmakers are already looking towards next year. The very early odds are out for Super Bowl XLV. Even with a win over the Colts, the Saints are not favored to repeat. In a sign of outright disrespect, the Indianapolis Colts and a team that didn’t even get out of the Wild Card round have better odds to win Super Bowl XLV than the Who Dat Nation."

Hockey

Eric Gargiulo presents NHL Betting – Can changes help in Maple Leaf-land? posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "While checking out the Super Bowl XLIV odds, you may have heard about a busy trade weekend in the NHL revolving around Toronto. Eric Gargiulo presents Dallas Stars kick off road swing in the Windy City posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Chicago is one of the top Stanley Cup picks this year, but they’ve struggled at home lately. The Blackhawks will welcome their old rivals from Dallas to town on Friday, and the Stars will begin a three-game road trip in Chicago. When the Stars were in Minnesota, this was an old-time hockey rivalry, and things could get exciting as both are jockeying for positions at opposite ends of the playoff spectrum."

Other

Eric Gargiulo presents Strikeforce: Miami – Preview and Predictions posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Miami marks the first Strikeforce show since Scott Smith pulled yet another come-from-behind victory out of his ass against Cung Le last month at Evolution. Eric Gargiulo presents A Chance To Save Heavyweight Boxing posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Meet “Fast” Eddie Chambers, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and boxing out of the once legendary boxing city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He will be fighting IBF/WBO Heavyweight Champ, and Russian product Wladimir Klitschko this March in an attempt to bring some glory back to the U.S.A. heavyweight boxing scene. The Klitshckos (brothers Wladimir and Vitali) own 2 of the 3 major boxing committees championships, and have for some years now."

Divinelysmile presents Top 10 Cheating Scandals in College History posted at Online Degree Programs.org: Top Online Degrees.

Eric Gargiulo presents UFC 109 Relentless: Preview and Predictions posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Saturday’s UFC 109 card is suffered from the afterbirth of The Fall Curse of 09, with the initial match up of Lil Nog vs. Brandon Vera being scrapped due to Nog’s ankle injury and Josh Koscheck withdrawing from his rematch with Paulo Thiago due to his own injury, so teammate Mike Swick has stepped in for Koscheck. Interestingly enough, the UFC main event featuring Randy Couture vs. Mark Coleman (being jokingly referred to as “The Battle of the Old Geezers”) has made it this far without injuries. Their combined age is 91. Okay I promise no more jokes about their age since it’s been beaten like a dead horse around the blogosphere. With that said, let’s get down to it:"

Cheryl Ragsdale presents How to Avoid the Greeting Card Version of Valentine's Day | eHow.com posted at FaithAllen, saying, "What?! Valentine's Day is a sport. People get all twisted up over Valentine's Day. Let's keep it simple. Let me help you get through it like the man-stud you are. Follow these steps to help you give up your resistance to February 14th."

Eric Gargiulo presents Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey Set For March posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Manny Pacquiao recently failed to negotiate a fight against the former Pound for Pound king Floyd Mayweather because of the random blood testing that the Mayweather camp wanted both fighters to take. Pacquiao was keen to accept the said test but should not be 12 days before the fight because it might weaken him, and Mayweather’s Camp didn’t accept those excuses, thus it paves way to Joshua Clottey."

Alisha Harmann presents Top 50 Global Education Blogs posted at Online University Rankings.

Basketball

Eric Gargiulo presents Sports Betting Tips ? Fade the Kentucky Wildcats…Sort Of posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "While most people are focused on the Super Bowl odds while the NFL betting season winds down, most people haven't noticed what the Kentucky Wildcats have been able to accomplish with new head coach John Calipari."
Eric Gargiulo presents NBA Betting – Wednesday Night Parlay posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Sacramento Kings at Atlanta Hawks - The Kings recently got SG Kevin Martin back from injury. They are trying to play rookie sensation Tyreke Evans and Martin at the same time, although Evans appears to be more of a 2 guard himself rather than a 1. They have not meshed yet and until they do, if they do, I will bet against them. The Sac Kings are 3-16 on the road and have no way to matchup with Josh Smith, Marvin Williams and big Al Horford. I expect a lot of turnovers by the Kings and a blowout along the lines of 92-71. I would take the Hawks and the under in this game regardless of what it is."
Eric Gargiulo presents When The Trade Deadline Hits Your Eye…That’s Amare posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Steve Kerr has said that the Phoenix Suns are increasing their efforts to trade away Amare Stoudemire in exchange for some young talent and some good role players. Also in Kerr’s thought process is freeing up the cap space brought on by Stoudemire, who is making $16.3 million this season and is scheduled to make $17.7 million next season. According to sources, teams on all levels have shown interest, from bottom dwellers to playoff teams to championship contenders."

Football

Eric Gargiulo presents Inside The Wheelhouse: You pulled a fast one Lane Kiffin! posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "When news broke on Tuesday night that Lane Kiffin would be leaving the University of Tennessee for the University of Southern California to become the new head coach there, only one thing ran through my head right away, wow Al Davis was right. This was the same Lane Kiffin that 14 months ago was passing his kool-aid to everyone at the University of Tennessee that he was going to turn the program around and more importantly beat the might Florida Gators. Now 14 months he, as Dennis Green would probably say, “is what we thought he was.”"
Eric Gargiulo presents NFL Divisional Playoffs Preview and Picks posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The New Orleans Saints host the Arizona Cardinals this weekend in what looks to be the most entertaining game of the post season. These are two teams that can put up 21 points each without even blinking. Kurt Warner and the Cardinals’ offense looked unbeatable last week. As great as his performance was last week, Warner has been money in the playoffs for most of his career. Kurt Warner is 9-3 in the post season with three Super Bowl appearances. The pressure of going into a hostile situation is nothing new for this future Hall of Fame quarterback."
Eric Gargiulo presents NFL Divisional Playoffs Recap and Thoughts posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "We are two rounds and eight games down in the NFL playoffs. Once again the NFL saved a weekend of lackluster games with a fantastic Sunday finale. Who would have thought that the San Diego Chargers and the New York Jets would provide the most intrigue on a weekend that featured the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, and Indianapolis Colts?"
Eric Gargiulo presents Can the Jets be Super Bowl bound? posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The New York Jets have become everyone’s favorite Cinderella story to the NFL’s worst nightmare. They have put the remaining three other teams on notice as they will be entering the AFC Championship game this Sunday against the heavily favored Indianapolis Colts. It’s the playoffs and anything can truly happen now. The New York Jets are becoming America’s favorite underdog as they continue to strike fear in their opponents’ game after game."
Eric Gargiulo presents Is The Cleveland Browns Future In The Eagles’ Hands? posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "As I always say sports fans, be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. The rumor mill is swirling with scenarios in Cleveland, and alot of it is focused on what the Eagles have at QB. As you know, Former Eagles GM Tom Heckert is now holding that position with the Browns, and according to rumors he and new "Prez" Mike Holmgren are looking for a radical change."
Chris presents Get off the Carousel posted at FootballBlitz.
Eric Gargiulo presents NFL Conference Championship Games Recap posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Finally, an entire weekend of games in the NFL postseason lived up to expectations. For at least three quarters, the AFC championship game turned out to be one of the most exciting games in NFL conference championship history. Not even four quarters could decide the NFC Super Bowl representative. For the first time in sixteen years, two number NFL one seeds will play in each other in what will likely be the most hyped game in Super Bowl history."
Jake presents Why Professional Sports are Destroying Your Life posted at Your Best Weekend, saying, "Join me in boycotting the Superbowl!"
Eric Gargiulo presents Inside The Wheelhouse: Ah, there he is! posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "I like everyone else was left in disbelief Sunday night as the Minnesota Vikings were making one last drive down the field in the Superdome. With a little over two minutes to go Brett Favre was driving down the field setting the Minnesota Vikings up for there very first appearance in the Super Bowl. This is one of the reasons why Brett Favre went to Minnesota. To beat the Green Bay Packers and to win a Super Bowl in Minnesota, to prove everyone wrong that this 40 year old Quarterback that retired and unretired multiple times, could still do it."
FavreDollarFootlongs presents The Adolescence of a Sports Fan posted at Favre Dollar Footlongs, saying, "The column discusses how we change as sports fans from when we used to just enjoy watching any sports as a kid into our complete fanatic state as adults."
Eric Gargiulo presents Inside The Wheelhouse: NFL Championship Weekend Thoughts posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Did Boomer Esiason die? I was watching him on the air yesterday and wondering who was the corpse, him or the person applying his makeup. He looks like weekend at Boomer's. Dude we know Carton is grating as hell but geez, Boom. You look like an old southwest ad "want to get away""

Hockey

Eric Gargiulo presents NHL Betting – Stanley Cup hopefuls meet in Washington posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "Detroit Red Wings vs Washington Capitals betting – Tuesday, January 19, 7:00 PM ET. The Red Wings have lost three of their last four, one of which was a 6-0 humiliation at the hands of the Islanders in New York, and then two shootout losses to Dallas and Chicago. Jimmy Howard is still getting used to being a No.1 goaltender in the NHL, especially on a team with such high expectations to NHL betting players, but the Red Wings have been inconsistent in front of him. Not that players like Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk and Nicklas Lidstrom, have been terrible, but they haven’t dominated as they have in recent years."
Eric Gargiulo presents NHL Tuesday Preview: Devils vs. Senators posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "While most of the betting focus being on Super Bowl odds and NFL picks after Championship Weekend, many are overlooking key matchups in the NHL. The NHL season has just past its mid-point and the games now have more serious implications in the standings and some preview possible playoff matchups.
This Tuesday night one such matchup is taking place as Martin Brodeur and the New Jersey Devils travel up to Ottawa to take on the surging Senators."

Other

Cheryl Ragsdale presents Dana White Predicts Growth in Female Fan Base “Girls Who Watch UFC are Hot…” - The Sports Chat Place posted at Sports Chat Place, saying, "To set the record straight, I would like to introduce you to female fans who love MMA – what we look like and what we sound like. Because it’s so unusual, why don’t we just let a woman explain her fascination with mixed martial arts. I went on line and googled female UFC fans and the only thing that popped up that looked interesting was UFC Fighter, Frank Mir’s website Frank gets it. He posed a question and several female fans responded. Here’s one woman’s response..."
Rod presents 7 Tips to avoid becoming a victim of crime in South Africa posted at South African Holidays, saying, "With the recent tragic events surrounding the Togo team at the African Cup of Nations in Angola, should we be worried about travelling to the FIFA World Cup in South Africa later this year? Here are some tips for staying safe in South Africa."
Eric Gargiulo presents Kimbo Slice vs. Matt Mitrione Rumored For UFC 113 posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "UFC will move forward with one of its biggest ratings draws of 2009, Kimbo Slice. After winning his first UFC fight at the TUF Finale, Kimbo Slice is now rumored to face another fighter from The Ultimate Fighter 10. Conflicting reports indicate that Kimbo Slice’s next opponent will be the “brain rattled” former NFL player, Matt Mitrione at UFC 113."
Aaliyah Williams presents 11 Ways You Can Go to Sports Events for Free posted at Masters in Sports Management, saying, "You don’t have to climb a tree and risk a limb to watch sporting action for free, if you know where to look you can get front-row seats to almost any game."
Eric Gargiulo presents Brock Lesnar Is Healthy And Will Fight posted at CamelClutchBlog.com, saying, "The Brock Lesnar mystery is closer to being solved today. Lesnar and UFC president Dana White appeared this afternoon on ESPN SportsCenter. Lesnar claimed that he is cured of diverticulitis and will fight again. Dana White confirmed that Lesnar is still the UFC heavyweight champion and named four potential opponents for Lesnar’s return. The return to the UFC of Brock Lesnar is looking better today than it has in recent months."
